GRANT GUIDELINES

Interest Areas & Guidelines
Due to the large number of requests received, the Foundation is unable to accommodate every request. Therefore, the Foundation must be selective in choosing schools and non-profit organizations that are within our specific mission and areas of interest, as well as the specifications of our guidelines. All applications must meet our guidelines.

MISSION | To Feed, Cure, Educate and Protect

The Boca Rio Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization founded by Boca Rio Golf Club members in 2012. The Boca Rio Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of the Local Boca Raton area.

GUIDELINES

The Foundation may provide financial support for the following purposes:

  • Programs & Projects-The Foundation may support the direct costs of sustainable programs, construction projects, educational supplies, and provisions for requests in accordance with their mission and guidelines.

The Foundation is particularly interested in:

  • Request to provide enhanced educational opportunities for children and adults.
  • Request whose activities provide direct services to community members and produce sustainable, tangible results.
  • The potential impact and sustainability of the project/program and the number of community members who will benefit.

WHAT WE DO NOT FUND

The Boca Rio Foundation receives numerous requests for funding annually and must be selective in choosing schools and organizations that are within our specific mission. Currently, the Boca Rio Foundation does not provide funding for the following.

  • Educational institutions or non-profit organizations outside of our geographic focus are listed above.
  • Individuals seeking assistance for individualized programs or services.
  • Non-sustainable projects and programs including salaries, benefits, etc.

GRANTS PROCESS

  • The Boca Rio Foundation reviews and awards grants annually. In order to be considered for a grant, all applications must be submitted by January 1st of each calendar year.
  • Annually, grants to non-profits range from $1,000.00 to $25,000.00
  • Prior to selection, all grant requests that fall within our specific mission and area of interest will be reviewed by the committee.
  • Notifications of awards will be made via email or phone (approval/denial letters will also be mailed)
  • A Non-profit organization may receive grants for two consecutive years. If you have received two consecutive years of funding from The Foundation you must wait one year before applying for funding.
